I used to run Avon ZV1's and thought they were better than the Pirelli's I was using before and I'm sure these were OE on Scoobies for a little while so they should be very good.
I'm now running Bridestones all round, RE250's I think and they are good.
The thing with tyres is that if you get really good grip then it's likely to be a soft compound which will in turn wear down quickly and no grip means a hard compound which will wear down eventually but I'd go for the soft compound more expensive ones every time just because I could be sure that I'll come out the corner in a straight line and not end up in the ditch!
