Technical tyres and shocks!!

hello guys,
this is my first post and topic here, so hope it works well...
my name is nader im from Egypt,im an owner of a 1982 127 MK3 903cc..
2day i decided to install some rims13*5.5 with wide tires(165)..after installing them i found in the rear wheels that the space between the tire(and the rim) and the shock absorber is barely allowing a finger to get in between them (thats also after puting 12mm wide wheel spacers)....im afraid this would harm the rear shocks...what do u think guys...hope u give me some help....and thanx in advance

u made me get some convinience ..
but i was afraid the shocks would get hurt from the tires during bumps or so ...am i right or the tire would never touch the shock???
