Technical Tyre pressure and front hub/drum

Can any one advise on the correct tyre pressure for 145/70-12 tyres on the fronts and rears.
Also, whats the procedure for tightening the front wheel hub/drum taper bearing, is it simply tightened until there is no further play in the drum

Hi Claudio;
The original tyre pressures for the Fiat 500D were:- 17.1psi (at all vehicle loadings-Front and 22.8psi (light load)/26.3psi (full load) for the Rear--these settings are from my original-published-by-Fiat S.p.A. workshop manual. When this manual was published the wheels were listed as 3-1/2X12 and the tyres as 125X12--hope this info helps.

Thanks Hobbler, any idea on how tight the taper bearing nut should be

According to the Haynes manual, the castellated nut should be tightened to a torque of 22 lb ft = 3.0kg / m then the nut backed off by 60 degrees which equates to one full flat of the nut.

This should then leave you with end float of between .001" - .004" 0r .025 - .100mm
