I RECENTLY BOUGHT A DIGITAL TYRE INFLATOR, THE TYPE THAT PLUG INTO THE
CAR CIGAR LIGHTER.
THE LAST 2 HALFORDS FOOT PUMPS HAVE FALLEN APART AT THE SEAMS DURING USE.

MY PROBLEM IS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE THE NEW ONE FOR MY CYCLE AND
MY WHEEL BARROW TOO, BUT WITHOUT LEANING THEM UP AGAINST THE CAR.

SO I LOOKED TO MAPLIN FOR A MAINS 240V CONVERTER. THEY DO ONE FOR £7.00
WHEN LOOKING FURTHER INTO IT I FIND THAT ALTHOUGH 12V IT IS ONLY 1 AMP

THE INFLATOR IS 120 WATTS AND NEEDS 10 AMPS OF POWER AND I HAVE NOT AS YET FOUND ONE BIGGER THAN 5 AMPS. EVEN IF I DID IT WOULD NOT BE COST EFFECTIVE, I MAY AS WELL BY ANOTHER OF THOSE FRAGILE FOOT PUMPS.
THIS DID GET ME THINKING THOUGH.
AM I OVER LOADING THE CARS WIRING WHEN PLUGGING IN THE INFLATOR AND USING 120 WATTS FROM THE CIGAR LIGHTER SOCKET??

ANY REPLIES VERY WELCOME(y)

Why do you have to lean them against the car?

As the lead should reach to the back wheels then surely the cycle and wheelbarrow can be placed next to the car on their side/back.

It is easier to take the barrow and cycle or even the inflatable bed to a wall socket.
But the question is - what is a safe wattage to pull from the car
power socket?

You'll have to post a new question with understandable english without the CAPS on.

About the wattage, a decent quality converter is rated to up to 300W.

Thank's for that, but do you happen to know what the car power socket is
rated up to?

If you were, then why would FIAT supply Fix-n-Go kits?

BTW, I recently bought a stirrup pump for my bike, £25 but works fantastically well on bike wheels. got a pressure gauge on it. Much easier to use than a foot pump. The bike shop claimed that it was the one they use in their workshop. And its yellow so easy to find in the garage
