Hey,
I recently bought a Punto (2001 ELX 1.2l 8V) and have two minor problems that I'm hoping to fix - looking to see how.
The first is the rear window washer, which isn't spraying water onto the window. There seems to be enough water coming out of it, but the angle is off and it's running into the groove just above the window and running off the sides.
The manual seems to say I can change the direction of the nozzles but I can't seem to see how - maybe someone could point me in the right direction here. It might also be a pressure issue and I tried cleaning the nozzles with a pin but it made no difference - I'm hoping it's nothing more than an angle issue!
The second problem is with the air conditioning, which only comes on when I switch it to '4'. My girlfriend's Rover has the same problem and it's not the worst thing in the world - it just means I have to have all or nothing when it comes to cooling/heating the car!
Is this a common problem and if so is there an easy fix? Perhaps there's just something wrong with the switch?
Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have!
(One last thing - what's the best way to check coolant levels in the car? I can see the Min/Max level on the outside but can't see the liquid mark so can't gauge where it is within that!)
