Have found a 16v turbo for breaking im driving a 1.1mpi MS seicento and im wondering if I could use this to turbo it and will I have to change my ecu? I have a full remap and dyno package through a local company to get it set up right if I do it.
And will the 16v injectors fit direct aswell, thanks
Josh

why's this in the Newbie section..??

Coupe is a 2 litre engine at least IIRC, so that would be a rather large turbo for 1.1. But it depends on what you like and what you want to achieve. For daily driving probably does not make sense, track days or 1/4 mile perhaps.

No clue about injectors. Re. the ECU, putting a turbo on is not just a remap job on the ECU, so I am almost sure your next door company would not be able to deal with it (I did a turbo job on the MPI ECU beginning of this year, so I'd know ;)). And if it is a micro MPI ECU nobody will be able to deal with it. So yes, you are looking at getting a different ECU.

And, doing a turbo is not just getting a turbo from the next car that you happen to encounter, requires thought and planning (and money!) (y)

Cheers, any kind of ecu you coukd recommend? If I cant get one ive been told the turbo can run wastegate pressure till I get one to map it right?

I cannot really recommend anything as I usually go my own route about this. You should do some reading about this, and look at which stand alone systems are out there. A half way solution would be to use DET3, check out honeymosters's thread.

And no, I would not recommend running the stock ECU with turbo, unless the turbo has the WG wide open. You might get lucky (as in not blowing up the engine) running the WG pressure, but that really depends on what this pressure is, mine was 0.8 bar.
