Hello from a 2.5d non turbo owner

Hi, I’m new to a Ducato 2.5d 1997 motorhome.
The hill slug.
Starts, runs and drives with synchro gone in 4th.
Loves the downhill but if I take passenger they can get out and push up the hills.
It’s done 47k but with motorhomes they see some use and often running idling.
No smoke bar the tiny single puff on start up of black. You have to really look to see that though.
Will reach just about 70mph on flat but I guess that’s quite normal,

Generally they were not fast, but loads of towing grunt. I had that non turbo 80hp engine in a 1996 Iveco Daily 3.5 tonne, you could pull away in second gear but it would reach 70mph in 5th.
