Hi im having trouble sourcing the correct turbo actuator for my ducato 2.8jtd 2004 model motor home. Fiat gave me the turbo code 71723501 today but I'm having trouble finding it online or one that looks identical to my one that's on the work bench. Is there a comparable one you've used ?
Also the pin the actuator connects to on the small plate coming from the turbo which is nice and loose has snapped easily while removing the actuator . Will it pop out with heat and a strong pressing in limited space ?

It seems that there are two different designs of turbo actuator pin, and that the pin was the weak point in the design. In my opinion a push fit would not be adequate. I have read of actuator pins being rewelded in position, but it wold be a difficult operation with the turbo mounted on the vehicle. A suggestion was the use of an M6 HT bolt, but you may have to tap the arm to fit it.

Possible replacement actuator on Ebay. See here.

See photo of my 2006 2.8jtd turbo. Note the change in design of pin.

Thanks mate, after checking the pin is part of the turbo small arm not the sctuator, so its snapped and after the difficulty in sourcing the exact actuator and needing to remove the turbo anyway to hole and fit. I decided to change the whole turbo. Which i found one of a few that is an exact match. So if it arrives before the weekend I'll fit it Saturday and see if it does the trick with more power on long slow hills and the engine management light goes off and stays off.
