tuning my engine

i was told by a friend of mine but im not sure how true it is is that if i put the diesel pistons in as the have the same bore but diffrent stroke that i could increas my engine to a 2.4 if i have my ecu remapped and set up to take it i think he is lieing but is there any truth to it can some one tell me please as im am wanting to get as many pony under the bonnet as i can

look i aint no mercanic i know very little about engines just about style and sound so dont be so harsh to judge all i wanted was a yes or no im gessing no and at least have the grace to say some thing to my face not hide so i will never no who you are

Nothing to do with this thread but.....

what's with the series of numbers on the left side of the screen under the writer's name? i.e. penfold 195.93.48.9 I thought this was a unique number to each member/writer - but it seems penfold has the exact same number as Nige.
I'm not usually this boring, it's just this is my last day at work before christmas and I'm friggin' bored already! Shite all work to do and they've just said that they're not gonna let us out early - f**kers.

I'm not sure if this is a 'real' question, but just in case it is:

No, it won't work:

- Diesel pistons have a completely different face to petrol engines. The combustion chamber is invariably on the face of the piston of a diesel, as they run much higher compression ratios.

- Think about it: if the piston is so much shallower on the same con rod as to give a huge increase in capacity, what do you think is going to happen to the compression ratio? It'll be too low to do anything useful.

If you want to know a bit about engine tuning, I suggest you either go to the library or save up to pay someone who knows what they're doing. Engines aren't that complicated, but you do need to know the basics before you even consider trying to improve on the performance given by an engine designed by professional engineers.

The IP address on the left is not always the IP address of the user. In this case it is the IP address of the AOL proxy server. Anybody who uses the AOL service could be using this proxy.
