General Trying to remove headlamp bulb

I need to change the headlight bulb on a 2009 500 Multijet but can't figure out how it unclips! It's the dipped beam bulb accessed under the bonnet. I can get to it but can't unclip it and I think I might have even broken the connector now! I'm ptetty experienced in car maintenance but this one has me baffled.

Can anyone advise before I take the plunge and remove the complete headlight?

Do you mean the bulb connector or the retaining clip, also is access limited? If need be look At the other side if that one has better access can't quite remember but it's quite straight forward.

If I remember rightly, the two sides of the wire retaining clip need to be slightly squeezed together at the bottom and will then release and lift up, allowing you to pull out the bulb connector.

Be careful not to bend the wire clip, otherwise it won't re seat properly..

I've now realised the bulb holder retainer is broken which is why I couldn't remove it. Unfortunately the holder has now fallen in two, probably the result of an accident several years ago. I've now got to try and find a replacement but Amazon and ebay have drawn a blank. I might try gluing it instead.

What no headlights on EBay? Drivers or passenger?
Note when searching on EBay put "front" in the search or you'll only get the drl bumper ones I found

I didn't say no headlights available, it's the bulb connector I need and they're not available, or at least I haven't found one.

A drop of superglue did the trick.
