Hardly - better to buy a decent battery in the first place surely. Mine is still good after 6 years plus! Checking for suspect earths is an excellent idea - but actually replacing them ALL would be a huge amount of work Normally if you find a defective earth then it's very easy to fix. It's the finding part which is difficult.
