Has anyone tried these triple edge wipers? I just ordered some for our Multiwagon? £12.89 for both front wipers, plus £2.65 p&p.

My opinion is to be very careful with wipers, and use only the best you can afford. If they are bad, they will ruin your screen by causing micro scratches and also make a lot of noise. These may be good although I've never seen them in Romania. Don't buy supermarket wipers ever. They are **** and will make so much noise you will throw them away in the baddest of storms.

The silicone compound on them may make them strong but also noisy, but that's a risk you'll have to take now that you've ordered them already. :p

Please give us a feedback after installing them.

Top brands on wipers are:

1. Bosch

2. Valeo

3. Champion

I got myself Bosch AeroTwin and they are dead silent even if I use them on the dry windshield. :)

Yeah - I won't buy anything other than BOSCH where wipers are concerned. I tried cheap branded ones a while back and they just get destroyed in weeks.

BOSCH FTW!

Champion make blades that look like the Stilo OEM, although the true OEM is unbranded Bosch. Check this out. :)

You can find Champion in supermarkets as the premium products and cost around 22 pounds in Romania. I paid 25 for the Bosch AeroTwin so it should be the same in the UK as well.

Does anyone who's got the Boach Aerotwin blades know the part number for them?

I've seen 3 Bosch part numbers for the Stilo from various sources:

RA728S which are the same length (550mm & 475mm) as the original blades.

RA533S which are shown as 530mm & 475mm

RA531S which are the only ones listed for the Stilo in the Bosch catalogue but there's a note in the catalogue to say they are shorter than original blades.

When I bought mine, the guy looked into the catalog and chose the right product for me. I haven't kept the packaging they came in with but I measured them with a ruler this morning.

The size is 560 and 460 mm from one side to the other, plastic thing at the ends included.

They sell them independently anyway, you can buy only one wiper if you want to. So just go at the store and say you want the exact sizes and that's the end of it. :)

:)

It's not nessessarily a matter of just getting the same length blades as already fitted to the car. Some blades have the mounting point further along the blade, meaning one end could overlap the end of the windscreen. I was wondering whether that's why Bosch listed their Stilo ones as being slightly shorter than original blades.

Davren this is where I get mine. I think the part number shown may be their own, not Bosch

Thanks for the link YP, but I've seen them on eBay for £12, however, different sellers show them with different Bosch part numbers for the Stilo.

Do the blades you bought reach the end of the screen without overlapping the edge? If so, I'll ask them for the Bosch part number.

I think it is a different mounting point because I only have 460mm on the right wiper and the blade is sitting at only 5 mm or so from the edge of the windshield, so yes, you are perfectly right.

I'm not sure about RHD to LHD, maybe the mounting points are different although if they were we should see a difference in part numbers on EPER. :)
