We purchased a new Fiat Doblo 120M-Jet Family in January and have been having a problem with a rubbing/grinding noise whilst driving with the engine under load. The noise disappears when the clutch is disengaged. The gear box, clutch, accessory belt tensioners, cam chain and cogs have all been changed and the wheel bearing checked. The noise disappears for a day or two after being in the garage however it returns with a vengance. The Garage have admited there is a noise and did all the above but appear to be unable to sole the problem and are now saying that it is a 'normal' engine noise.

Does anyone have a similar problem or any ideas?

If it is normal they will have no problem in demonstrating it on another vehicle then, will they? Any reluctance to do so will indicate they are trying to fob you off.

have a read of this on honestjohns website :)http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/faq.htm?id=43

you should reject the car under the sales of goods act as as a new vehicle it obviously wasn't and isn't of a satisfactory condition when purchased from new.

secondly the list of repairs and replacements proves this.

have a read seek advice and do NOT:( be fobbed off:slayer:
