Technical Transmission noise?

I have 1.4 Petrol Tjet Bravo its a 59 plate and done 22K miles. I've recently noticed a slight noise when driving, which is more noticeable in 5th and 6th gear. The noise dips if you coast and increases slightly if you accelerate. Any ideas? is it an issue and if so is it easy to get fixed. Warranty has expired now. Thanks for reading.

Sounds like gearbox bearings, very common on the M32 gearbox. Do a search, it's well documented on here as well as Alfa Mito and Astra VXR forums.
