Hello.

I am wanting to track the history of my Tipo.
I was quite lucky with my Punto, because it was long term owner, then the guy selling it in their behalf, and I worked for Fiat at the time so was able to get a e-sigi printout showing the supplying dealer, first owner etc.

The Tipo isn’t showing on e-sigi and is a very early build car (October 91 build) but it wasn’t registered until Jan 93.

I’d like to find out the supplying dealer and to see who the first owner was, whether it was Fiat themselves or a private customer as the past is a bit chequered.
It has had 11 owners and I know of just a few of them, but I know you used to be able to find out previous owners through dvla, but I’m unsure if you are still able to?

Has anyone any ideas, hints or can point me in a direction of where to start.
I emailed Fiat themselves and they are no help and have no interest in helping.

The issue is data protection, no one is allowed to pass on that information without a very good lawful reason. The simple way is to follow the trail back from those owners you know and hope that they have:
Long memories
Kept old paperwork

Your buisness was impirtant to us. NOW **** OFF! Customer service like no other.

I’m going to try v888? Form and see what/ if anything comes back.
I don’t know if it’d be worthwhile contacting Fiat motor club as I don’t know if they would be able to help any? I know they are able to give authentication certificates/ date a car etc but unsure how much digging they can actually do

As helpful as ever 😂
