if it is really that bad, you aint got really any other option than to go to the police, i wouldnt involve your mates cause they will most probably end up in your situation too, townies/chavs/scum always hang around in groups, try to get them on there own if possible

i would try to talk to him on his own but if he wants to take his mate go with yours . i find having my police baton helps to solve the problem quite quickly only had to use it once so far

u can either give him a kickin time after time after time, i have found that works as he will leave u alone, usually after the 3rd or 4th time
wait till it dies down (prob the most senesible but time consuming way!) but again b prepared to to toe to toe in pubs or clubs if you cross paths.
or get the police involved... seen as the chicken s**t way but the quickest way to finish the problem.
i had a problem like this last year, with a girlfriend at the times ex. he was out for blood on many occasion, we went toe to toe a couple of times, but after a few months of ignoring him he realised i really wasnt bothered an got bored! aint heard from him in months now.
u may as well just wait it out, it will die out in time dude dont worry!
p.s if u are plannin on tryin to talk to him an his mates, i would say a hand held weapon is the order of the day, somethin small enough to carry without being noticed, and somethin that can b thrown away if the pigs turn up, not that i have a lot of experience in that field of course!
