dont be such a tart :D just get a swan neck bar £100 cheaper and no matter what you do you will still have the lighting socket on show and you will need a bumper cut anyway....

you could always just unbolt the swan neck ball anyway

as far as i know they are all the same best to ring someone like brink and check

they are fitted by first removing the entire rear bumper un-bolting the rear crash bar there are then 2 legs that slide into the chasis and are bolted at right angles. there is then the cross member which is far thicker than the crash bar whic it replaces which has the bracket fitted to which the ball bolts to....

another thing you need a supply to the boot for the 7 way by-pass relay to stop the buld failure circuit from coming on when you hook up your trailer road lights (saying that the sporting should have a decent supply in the boot for the rear fuse box my active didnt and so they had to take a supply from the front passenger side fuse box.)

did you get it fitted locally matey as i can always travel, and east yorkshire aint that far. :D how much did you pay in total including fitting if you dont mind me asking? pm me if you rather :D

thanks alot, thats great! :D

all i can suggest is that you unbolt it. i think i would just leave it on mine... not that bothered about mine unless i was going to a show or something!!! haha!! :D

what model do you own andy?

I paid £208 fitted i used Towone trailers in Hull (its 1 minute from the A63 off at the Saint andrews Quay and left ((makro/ Halfords estate are to the right)) and its behind Asda they fit the towbars for Perrys which is Hulls Fiat dealer IIRC I had a problem with my Relay about a month ago but they couldnt fit me in so i baught one and replaced it myself but i needed it for a camping trip and waiting a few days wasnt an option they do a 2 year warenty on electrics their phone number is 01482 225645

also heard good things about doncaster towbars...

ive got an actice 1.2 i mainly use it for a bike rack rather than use one of theose strap on jobbies and a caddy trailer for camping/ trips to the tip..

thanks for your replay andy, really appreciate it! another top member! :D

(y)

i'll give the ones in doncaster a call as they will be closer to me. :D

cheers buddy, you're a star! :D

for those that want them the wiring loom colour codes for the GPs towbar electrics....

Pin no)Relay & Socket colour = Lamp= Car loom colour

1)Yellow = Left Hand Indicator = Pink

2)Blue = Rear Fog lamp = Gray

3)White = EARTH = ((To chassis))

4)Green = Right Hand Indiactor = Pink with black stripe

5)Brown = RH sidelight & No plate lamp = Yellow with black stripe

6)Red = Brake lights = Green with white stripe

7)Black = Left Sidelight and no plate lamp = Green with Yellow stripe

You will see there is no No3 on the relay as pin 3 is Earth and is pared up with the white off the lead and crimped in an eyelet and bolted to the chassis...
