Just come across a Top Gear book of crap cars !
No.11: SEAT MARBELLA (and it quotes)
" The Fiat Panda was a decent little car in a basic sort of way. However after a few years Fiat realized that selling something based on technology that Neolithic man would have considered passe' just wasnt on, and they redesigned the suspension before adding some brand new, up to date engines. They could afford to do this because around the same time they cunningly flogged the crappy old bits to Seat who carried on making the original Panda, prehistoric technology and all, saddled with the none-more cheesy Marbella badge.....
Sorry Mk1 & Marbella owners (not my opinions)

OK come on then what is their top 5 'CRAP' cars, think you will be surprised at the No. 1 spot.. If you have the book you cant enter :)

I love what Pandamonius Maximus is doing with his but I was never really a fan of the Marbella. With absolutely minimal changes they seemed to totally wreck the Pandas charm. Attempting to graft on a Mk3 escort nose was clearly missing the point of boxiness.

most crap car..... hmmmmm.......

Kia Pride?
had one of those, actually really liked it. Up until the Punto I flogged a couple of weeks back it was also the only car I ever sold on rather than scrapped. Claim to fame? ran a cat on a carb'd engine, god knows how they did it but the cat was still going strong when I sold it with 105000 miles on the clock. (had 105000 miles on the clock when I bought it 3 years previously too but that's a whole different story)
more on topic, iirc the panda 4x4 actually made it into Top Gears cool cars book so they might just get away with it.

Don't they hate the Nissan Sunny? If not it will be the Allegro.

I have owned both of those and they were both ok cars (imho)...

I think Top Gear seem to dislike anything that is not capable of 200 mph+!!!

Anything Top Gear doesn't like, I do. I don't get why leaf's are still an issue. Many cars and vans produce them. 'cept, in Marbella's and MK1 Panda's it's more obvious..

And I don't know about others, But i prefer a very simple, easy engine. I have an 850 and it's nice really ^^. I have trouble at the moment on a 1992 Peugeot 205 whereby it has a CAT with 8v and it plays havock with the electronic and kills the car on idle sometimes. I just wish it was 1 year older and it would have had a carburetta.

No.11 though, that's a nice spot(y)

It's probably going to be the VW beetle as they sincerley hate them!

On the contrary, VW beetles are awesome! Rear engined, rear wheel drive, skinny tyres and a 1641 twin carb engine - Your perfect group 3 insurance drift machines :D

I've had 4 so far, and it definately won't be my last :)

Only problem is they are so g'dam time consuming....
