As title says, .... without breaking it?

i have undone and taken the bolt out, the sensor is the only thing stopping me from taking the whole lot out

After you have removed the sensor, spray it a bit with WD40 and slowly pull it out (wiggle it out)

Lots of plusgas, but if its really stuck you might not be able to manage it without using BFI.

Thanks for the help but decided against it, and changed the springs without removing it. or putting load on the abs cable.

Dan,

Which ones are you working on-front/rear?

I have had experience with both and the bottom line is unless it (the particular one) has been changed since your car was made or your car is an '02' plate-it isnt comming out!
I spent 3 hours trying to get a front one out and resorted to cutting the hub mounting bolt in half and replacing from the other direction in order to change my shocks.
One of my rears went and after about an hour being gentle-even though i knew it was knackered it took about 5 mins with a drift and a hammer. Even then it isnt easy to get the metal lining out-which is the part which rusts solid in the hub-removing all the magnet in the middle is the easy bit.

I would NOT recommend messing with them unless you HAVE to, @ £70 a peice its not a cheap hobby.;)

Ben.

*edit*-7 minutes too late lol! You made the right choice!

Lol thanks for the advice ben, yeah dont think it would have been a good idea to remove them, luckily i have the help of a mechanic dad, so he finds ways of doing things tha i wouldnt think of.
