Mate of mine got a 172 Notice re: speeding. He coughed to it as he often used that road. Until he got another one in Lincolnshire; then another from Essex, then one from Staffordsire all within the space of a week. Luckily, he was able to prove he was working on the latter 3 occasions. Because of the likelihood of someone using a clone of his plate GMP decided that to proceed with the case "Wasn't in the public interest".
Ironically, in a candid moment over a pint, he said he thought he probably was speeding in the first case. A rare case of cloning helping out the "victim".
