Technical timing marks for marea 1.8 1v

changed cambelt on marea 1.8 16v 115 elx but our mechanic didn't make a note of the settings and now we're stuffed. is it possible to set the timing without the special tools? help us please!!!!!

Nope...

I'd change a mechanic if I were you. Fiats and tippex marks don't go together at all.

all you really need is the pair of cam locks, everything else can be done by a mechanic that knows his arse from his elbow (not the mechanic you've used so far by the sounds of it)

i did my 20v without locking tools and with tipex!

got it spot on first time and that included changing the cams etc
