General Ticking?!

Hi guys, I have noticed what sounds like a ticking on what I think maybe the front drivers side wheel... It speeds up as the car speeds up, no change in sound at all other than when it speeds up and slows down with car's speed. Any Ideas?

Doesn't do it when idle, and doesn't do it while in neutral When I accelerate!

Something stuck in tyre. Stone/nail etc.

I have had it for some time now, and I THINK it's progressively getting louder... I haven't noticed any stones or nails in the tyre though.

maybe somethings catching on the tyre ? try looking at the tyre and see if its worn in any way ? or maybe try rolling forward and back while someone looks for it catching ?

Oh ticking ticking ticking

Does it change with RPM as well

In Neutral and you rev does it tick?
When you dip the clutch does it stop?
Does it stop if you dip and raise clutch a few times?

If it doesn't seem to do it with Clutch up or down - and when reved or not i dont think it'll be internal Gearbox problems - if its just when the car is moving - i'd be more compelled to say Differential

DO TAKE CARE! when diff's do let go, they dont half bite back hard
It'll easily throw the car to the side did with me and i wasn't going that fast either!

it only does it when I am moving... and not ALL the time. sometimes it doesn't do it at all, and if it's ticking and I brake, it stops until I release the brake again....
