ticking noise from throttle body?

recently i have been getting a loud ticking noise every so often from what i think is the throttle body, it stays for up to 10 mins then goes away? there is no diff in performance and i took it for a diag and nothing shows up?what could be the problem? and what can i do to fix it?

There's an air hose about a half inch wide that runs to the top of the engine. On the throttle body end there's a spring and plastic valve. Could be this. Take the end of the hose off, take the valve out and check the condition of the spring

ive taken both these pipes off and theres nothing inside them?what am i doin wrong? or are these the wrong pipes?

ahh. Thought yours was hgt Ryan.
Looks v different to mine. can't see what other hoses are lurking around that pic, but you could try pinching different ones with the car running, to see if it affects the noise (how I did it anyway)

that the thing tho, the noise only comes on every so often and goes after bout 5 mins or so, cheers 4 the help m8y, but anyone else got any ideas?

could be to do with you air flow meter??
do you have a induction kit? coz i have the exact same problem only i got it fixed by warrenty then put my K&N back on and it killed it again lol so could be that? however i aint no mechanic!

ye i have a k*n air filter/induction kit, so what did u av done and how much wa it?

they just replace the air flow meter but luckly for me its underwarrenty so no idea on price im affraid?
