Have been reading the forum for a few months - now i could do with some help/advice.'96 brava 1.4sx; had it for 18 trouble free months untill recently, when it started to have "gaps" when accelerating, particularly from low speed i.e. after turning corners/ pulling away from junctions/changing down to overtake etc. Took car to garage that I use (not Fiat!) who had a look & said that its the throttle position sensor thats faulty, but unfortunatly can't be replaced on its own-have to buy new throttle body from Fiat at a cost of £500+! As I know nothing 'bout mechanical matters, does anyone know if this is the case? Will the fault get worse,or cause damage to the car if I continue to use it as it is? any advice would be welcome, as my wallet is geting nervous! Cheers
