Technical Throttle cable 1.1

Just noticed the cable on mine is looking very slack and it feels it too. Should they be fairly tight so the throttle responds crisper?
Looks easyish to tighten it up but wondering if it should just be left.

should be around 2-3mm movement of the accelerator pedal movement before it starts to move

see if I can find the official adjustment procedure

normally better a bit too slack than too tight

Yes as long as it comes back to idle easily. Too slack could mean throttle is not fully opening.
