General Those who have remapped there JTDs.

What clutches have you guys replaced the original clutch with in your JTD. Clutch slip is starting to annoy me now.

Been quoted around £140 for a Standard LUK Clutch, £205 for a Uprated JTD Clutch, and £390 for a Professional Helix Uprated Clutch.

Anyone know where i can get a Uprated JTD clutch? I would ideally prefer someone who's used them aswell.

what remap have you had done? is it the 2.4jtd? how much mileage have you done? please let us all know any info you can give, i have the 2.4jtd130 and am thinking of getting remapped kev

The car standard is 100BHP, the car has been mapped to 156BHP. The car pulls you hard back into the seat and accelerates very promptly. I can't comment on top speed or 0-60 as i have bad clutch slip. Its very noticable.

please do let me know about it tho i really am interested so i can compaire, i would like a 2.4jtd but your 1.9jtd is already pushing more BHP than my 2.0 20v!

and about the 2.4jtd remap its remaped from 130bhp to 180bhp thats by angel tuning

Someone else with the same map, hit a 0-60 in 8secs in the wet at Santapod. Which personally is very good for a diesel. Not sure what the figure would be in the dry but obviously under 8secs. Not sure what the HGT is.

Probably not as quick as the JTD!

0-60 8.4 secs in the book.

I may have beaten that but it's difficult holding the wheel and stopwatch whilst accelerating so hard you have your eyes closed.

I paid £250+VAT and that included the Specialist to come to my house and remap my car. AngelTuning did my car, however i would recommend celtictuning.co.uk. They are very helpful and know there stuff. He owns 6 JTDs, from Marea's to Alfa's and he knows how to change the clutch in 6hrs.

Fuel Economy has dropped and raised depending on my driving style. For now i drive with a heavy foot and a huge grin. LOL. So i technically am burning more than usual. But if i drive her sensibly it actually returns more MPG. Approx 3-4MPG. I usually do 54MPG in my car, so now i return 57-58MPG.

Only down side is, if your clutch is old and tired, then the remap will defiantely show it. So you may need a new clutch.

I'm having a new valeo clutch fitted next week, costs £360 all in, 8 hr job aswell.
