when did this place and it's moderators become so far up they're own arses that you're not allowed to express an opinion that the mods don't agree with?

take yesterday for example, kaylz puts up a post questioning club membership and where the money goes.
assumptions were made by a mod that she was incinnuating that he was himself ripping the place off :?
nobody even hinted towards that. it was a simple question.
but no, there was more behind what she was asking supposedly, and someone went off on one. come on. get real.

the subject then went on to how i was really ****ed about with regards to being a mod.

a question i remember being asked was- why was i asked in the first place to help when i wasn't really "needed".
the answers to that, i don't know because someone deleted the thread because they probably couldn't give a good enough reason between them.

anyways, i'm led to believe that an answer along the lines of "because kaylz gave martyn a little reminder to install whitey's rights a couple of times, we don't need him".
i'm sure someone could elaborate more on it as the description of the answer was a bit sketchy.

but if that was the answer, then GTF because that is one **** excuse.

to set things straight, i was asked to re-join the moderator team at the dundee meet. a week or so passed and i asked why i hadn't been added as a mod yet. nothing wrong with that is there? :roll: and martyn tried re-instating me but had "problems" doing it apparently.
more time goes by and i believe kaylea reminded martyn on msn that i was meant to be added as a mod. he gave me Admin rights, then mysteriously overnight, they dissapear. i obviously asked why this was and was told "don't know" and there were "problems" re-instating me again.
i left it as it was and just gave up on it.
last friday, however seen me re-instated again as admin. great.
by monday, my rights had, again, mysteriously dissapeared. not happy.
so again, i got in contact with martyn and i was added, once again, as admin.
yesterday, i get a pm explaining to me that because of certain issues someone couldn't face up to telling me that i wasn't really needed as the place hadn't picked up as expected. fine. but why wasn't i told this MONTHS ago? instead of leading me on and letting me down time and time again?

so, could someone please give a reasonable answer to all the above and tell me why i was ****ed about so much, please.

i wouldn't normally post something like this on the board and would've kept it to PM but that, unfortunatly gets you no-where on here, i'm sad to say, so i've had to air it publicly in hope of an explanation.

i also can sympathise with mikey and why he left if this is the sort of thing that goes on if you're admin on here. TBH since he left, this place has turned into nothing more than an msn in-between for people to spam and post nothing constructive at all.

certainly not what this place was set up to be, i'm sure. and i hope it turns around. because, with all honesty if it stays like the way it is currently then i can see the **** hitting the fan and this place being no more, sadly.

ok. i've now been told that i wasn't contributing enough to the site when i was admin last year.
how do you work that one out dave?

when this place first started out i was asked to be a mod. a job i could've done without because i'm a mod on puntoforum and alot more effort's required over there than it is here.

so, i seen this as something on the side somewhat.

BUT and thats a big but because before either you or steve joined a good proportion of the members on here were probably down to my promotional work on other forums. thats good input is it not?

so, when i was removed as a mod along with helen it was down to me not contributing was it not?

tell me, when did any of the mods contact me for input? exactly, none did.

so that's that excuse rubbished straight away.

secondly, i believe there was msn chats with a group of you to discuss the site and this was also a factor why i was removed because i was never involved in any of them.

excuse me please, but only martyn is on my msn contacts out of all the mods so how am i to know thate was meetings taking place? was a pm out of the question? or was that too hard to do? or even, yous could've added me to msn or even posted that ther was going to be a meeting in the mod's chat section.

this is the internet for god's sake. one of the biggest forms of communication so how could 1 person out of 4 not get in touch and ask if i could contribute to a meeting?

so to say i contributed nothing is a load of pish quite frankly because i was never asked my opinion of anything.

also, can someone tell me how far these meetings have taken the site since i was removed? so far apart from games and charging a fiver for membership(which was MY idea) are the only changes that i can see so far. so all your arguments and reasons have now been totally rubbished as to why i was removed so i'd like to see what the REAL reason for removing me was.

my thoughts are that it's because i'm not part of the online clique to be honest which is really sad imo

no, it's not that big a deal tbh but when you get ****ed around for months when they had no intentions in the first place to add me as a mod and getting lied to constantly then it becomes a something to care about does it not?

The last thing I've ever wanted out of this was an argument. As usual, it's what we've ended up with. Sorry, but the PM argument doesnt wash. You got the pm, and have obviously read it. If you guys have a problem with any of the admin here, myself included, I'd be greatful if you addressed it in PM before starting a slagging match. Kaylz outburst against Steve was not needed, I've never condemened another mod on the board previously, and I dont intend to now. Theres no need for it...

I admitted, when I contacted you the other night, this has essentially ended up a bit of a **** about...I've never said anything different. BUT I have apologised for this I added you at a time when I thought the forum was picking up and, though its no excuse, I had a lot of **** kicking off that I needed to deal with..I wanted someone else on board to try and help keep the forum going so I could concentrate on other things. In the end we got hacked, lost a lot of posts, a lot of members, and had no need for so many admin. It's no excuse but hey, it washes with me. Did I not say at the time?! Im sure I did...

Also, I've never really wanted to say much about the Mikey thing - as one of the original co-founders I was dissapointed to say the least when things started going belly up and he eventually resigned.. But when you have two immature twats causing you nothing but grief, throwing temper tantrums cos you hold a photoshoot at a meet and then, to have the cheek to say that I hacked my own site, was a final straw (oh, and taking the **** out of me in public, moaning constantly about the organisation of the Picnic, was poorly organised etc etc.) To be honest, with people speaking to me like that, I really couldn't give two shits...but I expected better from them than to speak to me/about me like that. Bottom line, Mikey was never forced out - he left the forum of his own accord - end of. When the site was hacked he got EXTREMELY sarcastic, suggested there was no way on earth that the site was hacked, and that it was most likely due to the upgrades I'd carried out on the forum...even though he was at some French car show, and had not seen the state of the forum.

At the end of the day mate, no one has ever doubted the promotional work you've done for this place. But you're not alone, and not everyone who's flyered for us or promoted for us has their name written up in big yellow writing - there's no need to have so many mods, it's not a personal thing its purely based on needs. We'll probably never need more than 3 admin (prove me wrong though) as this place more or less takes care of itself. For pissing you about, I apologise, but I just dont know what else you want me to do. I've explained this to you in PM and to be honest, can do without the bullshit its created.
