General thinking of selling

hi

im thinking of selling my uno 70 sx ie 5door in red its in good condition and has got about 9 months mot 3 months tax left on it
the cars done about 50,000 miles and is very clean with a few marks on the paint but nothing too bad


would any body be interested if i did sell it???

ive just been out driving with my dad (Learning lol)
went from my house to tesco (10mins away max) put petrol in and it refused to start, left it ten minutes and it went like theres was nothing wrong so im going to investigate it further

Is the car manual choke - cos that can sometimes cause problems with restarting when slightly cold. (mine had that problem - but mine was where the cam belt had jumped, so timing was way off).

Also, what year is the car? engine size?

The car is a 91 j

its a 1.4 or 1372 cc to be precise

its got mot till 26 october 2005

im not entirely sure about the problem but ill have to take it somewhere to get it looked at

well if mine fails its MOT next month i may have to invest. but i thought yours was newer? mines 91 too, but H reg

i dont have a solution for ur prob but check the vacume advance unit

i had a similar problem but it was more likely to happen when the uno nearly stalled (pulling away and not giving it enough throttle etc.) and it would cut out and refuse to start untill left for about 5 mins

Sounds like a faulty ignition distributor to me, i had that problem too when my uno used to be a 1 litre. The car would start, drive then if u switched off the ignition and restart the car it wouldnt start. Ten minutes later it would restart. Might be worth checking out the distributor cap. Or it could be your battery?? Might be going flat??

his engine is very simlar to the one in my mk2 uno turbo. just without the turbo! lol

first thing tommorow im getting a new distributor cap and charging my battery also changing the rotor arm

hopefully it'll sort it !
