General Things I have noticed. Help

Hello all.
We have had the 500 a week now and noticed a few things and wondered if anyone can advise.

City Button
Is it ok to keep this on 100% of the time ?

Indicators
They click off sooooo easily. Can anything be done about this?

Window Wipers
They feel like they are set so hard against the glass that this almost judder across the glass. Again is this normal?

Rattle in drivers door
Is this a common niggle and anyone know the best way to fix?

Paint Chips
Oh and being bosa nova white it should come with a touch up pen. Is Fiat the best place to buy these?

i have never had that problem?

buy new blades but not fiat ones...or try and clean the glass on the car. i use a glass polish and it stops them from doing that.

If it is under warranty take it in for them to fix if not you may need to take the door card off and have a look

I have noticed the exact same thing regarding wipers. I'm thinking of going downstairs and buy new blades for the AA guys.

The blades are seriously rubbish. It doesnt rain that much in Greece so I havent changed them yet = ) What do people on the forum replace them with, the same stock Bosch ones?

Regards the indicators - I've noticed this in all FIAT's I've driven, normally hold the stalk in the relevant direction until you hear a click (almost sounds like someone cracking their knuckles). It'll then be locked in place until you manually cancel it. Of course, I've never even sat in a 500 so you could have those fancy stalks that don't lock into place and I'm talking out of my ...

Nah, you're alright! They are the proper "old school indicators" on the 500 which have been around for donkeys years on Pandas, Puntos etc.

Do Italians indicate? In Greece many people don't and i was thinking if it was related to the Mediteranean genes = )

Thank you tony i will ask them to be changed at the same time of my next service so everything can be done at once. (i'll live with the rubbish stock ones until then besides rain in athens is not so common).

You are sure these are not the stock bosch ones right?

You're right (i don't like when i'm saying that ) but it was my mistake!
Why did grimwau suggest the A 300 S as far as they come standard in UK? :/

Aren’t you supposed to signal only at the point of leaving the roundabout? (At least that’s the case in Germany.)

Only if you are crossing it, if you are going left then you indicate left, if you are going right you indicate right until you are just about to take the exit at which point you indicate left, when crossing you indicate left as you are exiting.

Of course that'll sound confusing to you as everything is on the wrong side but you get the idea
