Hi All sorry to report ive suffered another attempted theft of my Colour at the weekend either that it was a vandalism resulting in another bent door at the top.I suspect the latter you can decide as i did have my stoplock over the steering wheel as per usual. This seems to be a no win situation so i may call it a day soon im unsure at the moment and have mixed feelings sometimes it makes you all the more determined to carry on but the bigger picture is i do not want to see things deterioting much further ive had a lot of pleasure from Basset but feeling pained with this at the moment.I did witness the age range of those concerned with and i must say this makes it even more disappointing.
On a more positive note Bassett must be one of the best cars i have owned
reliable cheap basic no fuss a to b transport without fuss.So we will see how things pan out in the near future.

I'm so sorry to hear that mate. (n)

A few months back, some skinny little chavvy bumhole decided to smash my rear driver-side window! I think Panda's are liable to attack by the irritating assholes!

Luckily I managed to find out who it was that did it to me, and got him to pay for the petrol I had to use to go see Nick (Crashtest33) for a new window.

In my opinion, just keep fighting for it, and maybe save up for a basic alarm system? Or some other irritant to keep them at bay.

Rhys

I have to report that my stored pandas have been attacked at the weekend Heidi's car concrete block thro front screen.
O/S/door window smashed

Red Auto O/S/drivers door window smashed. door lock f**ked up. N/S/Lamp cluster smashed.

Blue 4x4 got off light O/S/drivers door glass smashed, Door lock f**ked up. Petrol locking cap f**ked up.

Black 900cc N/S/Passenger door glass smashed

Red 750cc O/S/glass smashed. bonnet corner ripped up and is now u/s

So you think you have had it bad  the 4x4's next door and I'm sorting it out for a mot. in next two weeks then sort the rest of them out as soon as I can. I will not give in to these b*****ds

The world's going to hell. The problem is that the people who should care don't. By that I mean our our own government, police and local authorities. The law is now so feeble and lax that these morons pretty much have carte blanche to do whatever they like. Victims are more likely to be prosecuted than perps. It's all your fault for putting temptation in their way etc etc...

I think the problem is that the Police/ Authorities and even the Government do care but have their hands tied with so much red tape and 'human rights' that the scum that do these terrible deeds know they can't be touched. Plus we have a generation that have been brought up with no respect for anyone else or others property and are running amok in society.

Sorry to hear that so many Pandas have been targetted by mindless vandal scum :(

You hit the nail on the head these people if I call them that:confused:do not have any respect for others or property. Linda and I have just come back from Germany what a diffrence to the UK clean tidy and respect others arround them.

They do enforce the law be sure of that! car theft one driving school car returned in less 24hrs to the owner and they know who they after mug shot in local and area papers.

Fortunately I've only been screwdrivered up to now. I got a simple alarm off eBay (fits on the side of the battery and works via shock) but only the wind has set it off up to now... (least I think it was the wind - maybe it worked!) Thing is, a simple alarm like this is only any good as a theft deterrent and won't prevent damage.
(n)
If you think it might be any good as a deterrent you're welcome to it, if funds are tight just PM and I'll send it off to you (pressing and holding remote will set alarm off if you see the offenders hanging around - but this might then antagonise them..?) :(
They'll grow out of it, but sadly there's the next generation to contend with...
w*nkers!!

What i struggle to understand is how someone the same age as me can be so immature and pathetic that they see the need to do something as petit as vandalise a car for no reason

its another case of them learning the hard way. either it happens to them, or they get nicked for doing it. i think the latter is very distant though

thats terrible Allen, I have had two car attacked in the past the panda had a washing machine thrown on the bonnet during the night while i was in great yarmouth a few years back and the seicento was rolled on its side about a year later nobody was ever caught. thats when i decided to make sure all my cars where off the road over night which ment selling the turbo cinq and making the drive wider it was worth it for peace of mind though. all i need to do now if find the **** who dropped a big lump metal off there lorry onto the fast lane of the M5 last thursday morning which we had no choice but to hit at 70mph in the punto wrecking the bumper, rad, drive shaft, gearbox, rad mount and front of the chassis! then a 7 hour trip home on various recovery trucks as usual it was just out of camera range.
