I've just wet myself. I didn't know you had a Mk1.

Yup, and only 17,000 miles wiv no rust!

In fact, the Land Rover has let us down the day before we go away on holiday, some electronical thingy gone wrong, and we're therefore using the MK1 for three Adults, three Labradors, and two weeks worth of bags, a challenge in packing if there ever was one.

Wish us luck!

Mk1 is bullet proof... there's even less to go wrong onit than the Mk2.

I am impressed with it, no doubt about it.

Under load there's a tinkle of pinking in top, prolly needs the ignition thingy turning or new plugs (these seem to be the originals), I'll try the plugs first, what should the timing be set at for unleaded? Does it make any difference?

Some folks on here might chuckle but those mark ones are rare as fu$%&£ and one in that condition is collectors material. Take care of her, you got a real classic there!

That is a superb Mk 1...

wot no rust?!!!

None visible, the underside of the bonnet has a few surface spots, but nothing anywhere else.

Just need a new offside interior plastic moulding for supporting the rear parcel shelf, since my nodding dog from the above trip was a Golden Retriever, and he's broken the plastic lugs off the offside plastic moulding that supports the shelf.

If anyone has any ideas or the part in question I'm all ears.

Is this any help....

Yup, it's part 6 for the off-side I need to replace or do a repair, the feeble plastic lugs that support the rear parcel shelf (part 1) that are broken off.

:(

Anybody got one of these for sale?
