Sounds like he's very unprofessional then.

I thought things normally get thrown out of court when things go missing

hence why no complaint. only evidence is hear say, no tapes/paperwork. either because the people who've been pulled have binned their copy and/or the coppers got rid of his copy perhaps innocently throwing out old notebooks etc.

with my courtcase however there was me, the officer and his partner in the panda car. no tapes etc only physical evidence was his notebook

Thats what i thought. which is why its my view i shouldn't have even had to go to court. but at the same time what is done is done,i got off lightly (although it doesn't feel that way) so ill take what I've got rather than risking worse.

Actually I tlk to Rolf VERY often, quite a sound chap when you get to know him. Its where I got my GSR and leather kit from. And IIRC he has the headlights for sale still as he now drives a Leon.

I've largely ignored this thread as I'm not a big fan of reading about people bodging a perfectly good car. Therefore I skipped past this and onto more interesting projects.

Just read the whole thread from start to finish. All I can say is oh my god!

Taste in car mods aside Vimto must be either very unlucky or just one those people that should rely on public transport.

I hope that he can look upon his early years behind the wheel and learn from it. We all share the same roads and most of us manage to negotiate them largely error free.

Good luck for the future, we all make mistakes when we are young, it's just how you learn from them that we are judged on.

You can put the light motors in from the standard lights, otherwise it is manual adjustment.

Not a chance. Saw sense. Most of the purple crap, which it was to be fair has been binned/burned.

Couple of years ago I'd have hurled abuse at you for that. Now however, I'll agree with you.

I wanted to try something different, but in reality it wasn't that different and I didn't have the pocket to fund it. I don't have any regrets, but I look back at the mistakes I've made and smile. Knowing that it is just part of life's learning curve. Might have been an annoyance, source of ridicule or whatever and this probably is a told you so moment. But I've learned and there we go.

As for the Leon, couldn't pass off the opportunity. Insurance is over £1k cheaper, cars better suited to my needs and the punto was coming up for some work as well.

Made some good friends because of the forum though if not through it. So I hold no grudges or whatnot.
