@Tom - dont wash the car more than 2 a year, I found out they run better and smother when unwashed. But be warned: you will prob. stick out like **** in a punch bowl!
Damn stroppy cow missfired most of the way home... stopped off and got her some new plugs, albeit NGK multielectrodes cos they were out of Bosch.
When I put the plug spanner down the hole there was a rather alarming squeltch, there was still quite a bit of water down the plug hole. All dried out and did a quick compression test, about 200PSI on all 4. About 5PSI down on its last check about 2 years ago.
She drives perfectly now.
Its a bit of a design oversight the way they put the inlet runners OVER the cam covers on the 1.6, I really need to take mine to bits and clean it out, there is a mix of oil and dead leaves between the cam covers.
