Technical the rad fan operates at high speed only

hi all

my rad fan just skips the normal low speed and only operates at the high speed.. and now i got the temp fixed at about 92 degrees (2 notches above the center point)

i checked the fuses and they were fine and changed thermostat and it didn't solve the problem

any theories?

On most models there is a resistor fitted on the back of the fan housing could well be one of the wires has rotted off or the resistor is duff.
