Got a timer already, but trying to find Vivs with built in, but so far no luck..
heat bulbs a bit more difficult to find..
Try to find a decent one and equipment on Preloved, but dont really know what im looking for
Been looking at a tank with a heat mat. but unsure as to if that kind of set up would be ok
I prefer the heat mats and then the only light is from the uv tube.
Well i can get a tank for £25 with a 3/4 heat mat. But no UV lamp, just the mat. wasnt sure that Geckos needed the UV lamp
I Always think any reptile that basks should have a some uv. But i dont mean a dedicated uv tube, just a daylight tube for lighting with a spectrum that inludes uv.
No need for a UV tube for a nocturnal reptile as they dont benafit from it, but instead coat there food with calcium powder
why dont u just make your own vivarium? can build it to spec then.
it easyer said then done, also for a first viv its best to buy a full setup before making your own
at the moment my tanks being a ball ache but thats cause im trying to make it water tight
I think im getting the materials today to make my own viv today, might do what wilko did and post my progress on the reptile page step by step but mine wont be water tight because i dont need it to be lol
