The only online company that I have come across. I didn't mean that they were the only ones to do that (although that's how I'd written it )

And if they were to just advertise the p&p with the 20% included from the beginning? It would make things a lot clearer, but still won't beat my dealer on prices so no.

Why would it make it clearer? I am VAT registered, I want to see the net price - why would I want to pay inflated P&P charges

Does a car actually need a heatshield? The one for my centre box is broken and rattling alot and is doing my head in, so would just take it off untill I get a new one unless it might do some damage.

Nope, mines never had one in the time ive owned it and most people take them off when they rattle

what's broke on it? if its just the bolt holes have got bigger than the bolts you can get repair washers from wicks or b&q, big washers with a small hole

Its snapped around the bold hole, goes quite far in though so don't think that would fix it.

I have roof bars but need a roof rack, can anyone think of any legal reasons why I couldn't make a roof rack type frame out of wood and bolt that to the roof bars? One of my mates reckons it could be dodgy ground - however if it's tied or strapped to the roof bars I am simply transporting a wooden frame that happens to have other stuff on it too.......

I am moving and if I can't find a suitable 2nd hand roof rack I'll be up the creek. I have a trailer that's big enough but not 100% sure I can tow it legally so would rather not bring it here (140 miles of motorway and find out the hard way). I've got a post 1997 license and don't have B+E

I heard this but the other way round. 1st is looking for them, 2nd is having them, but start by saying 2nd then 1st

Nothing wrong with a wooden roof rack as long as it's secure.

What weights we talking about towing with the trailer and with what vehicle

Towing vehicle is defender 110 TD5 hardtop (2000 reg) and the trailer is an old caravan flatbed - 1800 weight rings a bell from the plate but not 100% sure.
