Why does this forum sometimes not work when you click a link? Have to close it down and try again. Refreshing page doesn't work either.

never had that on the forum,you will get some slow down as Ben is awaiting new hardware and stable net to sort it out

you dont have to close then reopen, there is a lag just leave page an it will load when it gets its breath back

By 'not work', do you mean it comes up saying 'Page not found' when you bring up (particularly) long threads, the problem that's been going on for months with threads about being posted quite regularly?

If you're referring to karbineftw, I think he means when he clicks on posted links nothing happens. I get exactly the same problem. After a while it just stops trying and kind of "forgets" that anything has been clicked. Other times it causes everything to freeze and IE shuts down.
Must be an IE issue then, someone said something similar in another thread but the link worked fine for me

the massive thread error is still there,Ben knows about it but hasnt got to the bottom of it
only a case of removing .:

Also, it's not just removing the .: cos if it shows in the URL as 18.: that's actually page 19, so if you just remove the .: and click next page it usually fails again.
