The quick question thread

right guys and girls.. i am LEDing my dash switches.

should i make my hazard light switch red (no matter what other colour the other switches are set to) or should i make it so that it changes to what ever the other switches/clocks are set to?

i think it would be cool if say i had my dash set to green and the hazard light switch stays red.

both options are easy to do..

what do you guys think?

All the same colour. Done LED conversion on the 750L and it looks  but they're all the same colour. Red for Hazards wouldn't look to good in that setup imo.

need to put a paralleled resistance between LED strip, the resistance needs to be around 25watt 6ohm.

The issue is that I cant get a 25watt 6ohm resistor at short notice.

Would its be ok the create the same resistance using 2 10watt and a 5watt over varying impedance to match the 25watt 6ohm.

As short term only.

in series; R1 + R2 + R3 = Rt
10watt 2.2ohm + 10watt 2.2ohm + 5watt 2.2ohm = 25watt 6.6ohm

hmm for a LED strip?
got any specs on the LED strip?
i have a 'gret whacking wire wound potentiometer i use for "temporary" use while i am seeking components. though, often i just wind my own resistor and keep checking it with a multimeter.
i am working on making the fan in my car speed controlled but i may have to go down the PWM route. ohhh theres a thought
use a pulse with modulator.. get them off ebay real cheap. and they are designed for LED strips too. its what i am using to control my dash lighting above.

Elephants are excellent swimmers....
Monkeys can climb trees, so can some Amazon fishes (they lay their eggs in water collected in tree hollows)
Eklipz3k... I saw that episode too...
