The quick question thread

After reading quite a lot about the alfas ive decided that i dont want one now, apparently you have to rag the hell out of the 1.6 to get it to go anywhere because its such a heavy car which would mean worse fuel economy which isnt what i want. So now im looking at a mk2b punto 1.4 16v sporting which is cheaper on insurance than my mk2 1.2 16v sporting
Can anyone suggest any more cheap to insure cars that are italian that i can have a look at?

look at jtd alfas bigger diesel engines are often cheaper to insure than smaller petrol ones

I don't do enough miles to get a diesel really, I barely do any motorway/long journeys and work is only about 20 mins away. Don't diesels have bad MPG when doing short journeys?

nar they are not so bad, its only if you are buying new they are not worth the extra they cost if you don't go far.

im not spending any more on diesel than i did on petrol for the punto, and the price has gone up loads since i got it
