"The strange dog leg shaped one that attaches direct to the intercooler on the drivers side" - that one.

If someone has worked out what the fluro-lined silicone equivalent is that would be even better :)

I got a 48mm 45 degree fluro lined tube which with a bit of cutting down bit by bit fits perfect. It's cabled tied now instead of the screw holding the plastic pipe before but still does the job.

Thanks. What about the bit inbetween the turbo 90° hose and the 45° intercooler hose?

I've managed to repair the original, chopping off the end where it had split left me just enough room to put it back on. I will want to upgrade it though to stop it happening again :)

The way i understand it is that its a 90 degree silicone pipe then a plastic pipe then a 45 degree pipe cut to fit. I haven't had to replace the plastic pipe I'm afraid, so can only vouch for the dog leg piece, someone else may be able to shed more light on this for you?

Well no there tonnes stronger i may have a forge one somewhere, ill have a look if i remember correctly you unbolt the hard metal pipe, cut and fit best you can and cable tie it back in its relaxed place think its about 10mm from hole unfortunately

for any of you who have experienced the common turbo to intercooler hose perishing/bursting, ive found a solution :)

took mine off, and using a micrometer, measured internal and external dimensions, and lengths, and have ordered and received a silicone equivalent, which is fluoro lined, making it oil and fuel proof. fitting tomo, it is slightly longer than standard, so when i remove old one, will cut down the new one to match.

here it is if anyone wants to invest:

and while your at it, replace the old rusty clips with 2 45-60mm jcs stainless clamps, £5.31 delivered:

Very grateful for this thread and the link. Purchased the part and my son fitted it today.

If anyone is still looking for one of these, due to an e cheque mix up on my sons Ebay account we ended up buying two. I have just listed the spare one in the classifieds so if anyone needs one urgently and they are not far away from me feel free to come and collect it.

You've probably had it with this thread as its old now but just a quick question, part 3 on the schematic - will the 45 degree silicone fit this or should I look for something else, ive offered it up and it looks like it may fit but doesnt look quite as long as the OEM hose. I don't have a micrometer to hand so I cant whip it off and measure it. Would be a massive help, cheers.

Black smoke is the car is giving to much fuel. You sure just part 2 that needed changing? Check the full hose from top to bottom. After found out what hose may have gone and replaced clean the egr valve.

Im going to have to take to bumper off and have a look at pipe part 1 as when i was replacing part 2 yesterday i cleaned off and inspected pipe 3 and that looks and feels ok...ie no holes or splits that were visable.
Its just finding somewhere apart from Fiat that do pipe 1 or 3.
