The radio is a Blaupunkt and the serial numbers are as follows:

BPNR 7649 372 316

Fiat 735 272 569

Kind Regards

EddyHudds

You've posted the Blaupunkt and Fiat part numbers for the radio, I need the serial number. For your radio, it will be something like BPX372XXXXXXXX and will be stamped into the side of the radio.

To get the code, I need the serial number that's usually stamped into the side of the radio, and the part numbers printed on a label on back or top of the radio.

Cheers mate. I take it the radio not going off with the ignition is the same reason as my total miles.

There's an adjustable setting in the radio to make it either switch off with the ignition or not. I think it's called "AUTO" function and is available from the "MENU" button. How to do it is explained in the Stilo Radio handbook which you can download from the forum downloads section here: https://www.fiatforum.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=5

I had the battery out the car for over two hours. When I put it back in the cassette/radio did not ask for a code. Do these old things have one? Reason I ask I have a pile of rubbish going on ebay and wondering if its worth putting this on as well.

Will only need a code if fitted to a different car. Will be fine without a code as long as it remains in the same car it left the factory in ;)
