Re: radio code

Hi Dave,
This is my very first post on the forum, and would like to know, how do you use the number pad on the radio to input a zero in the code. I believe my code to be 0531 but don`t know how to.
Regards and thank you in anticipation.

Re: radio code

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

I've no idea what radio you have.

For most radios, to enter a "0" you press the relevant button 10 times.

So..... for code 0531, you probably have to press:

button 1, 10 times.
button 2, 5 times.
button 3, 3 times.
button 4, 1 once.

Dave.

Hi Dave again, thank for the very quick reply.
I can see no name on the radio, it is out of my scudo 2004. the only info i can see is:-

model PU-2294A(C) 96-392-195-80

ser no CL 040140924371C

and H 4021304

The instr. book tells you for eg. if the number was 5345 to press button 5 then button 3 then button 4 and then button 5.

The ISR info I had when the van was newgives the radio code as 531 with the additional info (hand written), that maybe a zero would be needed in front.

Many thanks again, glad to be a member of the forum.

Mike.

Re: radio code

If the book says to use the numbered buttons for the respective numbers of the code then the code must be between 1111 and 6666 (assuming the radio has 6 buttons), meaning you have the wrong code.

The serial number is for Clarion radio which can't be decoded by the serial number.

You can either send the radio to a specialist where they can get the information from a EEPROM chip inside the radio,

OR

If it's the original radio that came with the vehicle from Fiat, then a Fiat dealer should be able to get the correct code from the VIN. You will need to prove ownership at a dealer.

Re: Radio Code

Thank you! That worked... I shall make a donation when I get back from work.

Although, annoyingly the CD player I bought says '169 CD/MP3' on the top of it, on a white sticker... but seems it rejects my MP3 CDs, which is a little depressing! Hmmm. It does seem better quality than my initial one though.
