Re: Re: Re: engine
First of all, you need to see what will physically fit. Next, you need to define your budget. Don't forget it will cost more than just the price of the engine: some parts are bound to need replacing, you'd be sensible to fit a new clutch while the engine is out, you'll need various hoses and pipes, possibly changes to the wiring harness, and very probably uprated brakes, tyres and suspension.
Depending on how radical the project is, you may also need to get engine mounts fabricated, inner wings and bulkhead modified, etc. It can't be emphasised enough how important research is!
A Fiat meet would be a good place to start, so you can look around various cars and see which major components are either shared or similar to those in your current car.
Another important consideration: can you live with the car being off the road for a long time? It could take weeks to perform an engine swap: are you prepared to find alternative transport in the mean time?
Finally: good luck with whatever you decide! I'm about to take a rather more blasé attitude with an engine swap, so you can just ignore all this advice if you like!
