After the dreadful failure of my last thread (going for one thread a day is perhaps a bit ambitious to start off) - let's try another tact, with one thread per month that can be used for random chatting :)

So anyway - here we go - for me, it's 2:23am here in wonderful Taipei. I was supposed to be meeting some friends at the club, however they STILL haven't got ready - and seeing as I have to go to a lecture tomorrow in the afternoon, I don't think I'm gonna be able to make the music (n)

Thus - I'm stuck in here with you lot for the evening, on the plus side though, it's giving me a chance to get on with some forum bits and pieces :)

What's everyone else up to - or any interesting news going on?

I didn't get back from work until 0400, after getting up at 0700 on Friday! So slept for almost 12 hours!

Now I'm job hunting, applying for all sorts, control room with the Police (50 mile commute though), part time control room for Ambo (only 8 hours a week, but bit of extra money) and bus driver (39 hours, just down the road, and pretty good pay).

Also found out that British Transport Police are recruiting as well, so emailed them to see if I can apply for two forces at once as they aren't a home office force.

Tomorrow I've got work, main job 1000 - 1500, then second job 1600 - midnight.

Right - just finished my quarterly phone call home to my parents :) Mum can't quite manage a whole conversation without starting to nag about something :ROFLMAO:

On the topic of jobs though, I should try and sleep now - tomorrow at 2pm is the local Taiwan Entrepreneurs Seminar, hoping to pick up some tips and ideas :) Tired of being big in Japan - now it's time to make it large out here - haha

Night y'all!

Snap. Job hunting as well. And all I am currently coming across is trash, don't get me wrong, there are loads of jobs out there. Just not good ones.

Yeah same down here. Lots around, but either in retail (although doing that at the moment), sales (urg), or managers for pubs etc. I want something were I can do it and go home, not having to worry about it, not having to work for free (I do that already with the Police!). Plus something that will still allow me to work with the Police a couple of times a week.

Bought seasons 1 - 5 of the Big Bang theory, have been watching for pretty much the last 48 hours (except sleep, and a trip to the supermarket for snacks) have finally made it to season 5

At least I've hardly had to go out side, given the snow. sadly only one more day off and back to work, still time well wasted. :)

With the real danger of it starting to look like I'm just talking to myself, I'll keep at this until I get a bite :p

Current big news in Taiwan is about a brother whose sister died. Sad. Unfortunately she died before the life insurance had been setup.

So to get around this, he cut off her head and pickled it until the policy could be started - at which time he put her head in a nearby trash can and "found it" - then reporting it to the police.

He didn't get away with it.
