Surely all this debate re:modern abarth has been done when the A500 first came out....
Just another thing that crossed my mine, the A500C is actually more true to the original Abarth 500 than the tin top is. They were all convertible back then were they not? Didn't hear people saying they were "pointless" back then, especially when they were overtaking Yank tanks with engines 10 times the size!![]()
those pics do not show a not a full length sunroof inc rear window though...
IMO Abarths should not even have a glass sunroof as racing cars do not have them so a race replica shouldn't either

History is why the Abarth brand is still around, if you **** on the history of the brand you steadily erode it's reason for existence.I think people need to stop living in the past and look at now. Fiat want to make money at the end of the day, they're not going to release a car with limited options (sunroofs etc) just because it steps on the toes of the Abarth heritage.
As someone has already mentioned Abarth's in recent years have just been bodykits and stickers, Carlo Abarth would be turning in his grave if he saw these! At least the Newer versions have more power etc.
What's stopping people buying a bog standard A500 and tuning it to be as mad as it's meant to be anyway? That's what I'll be doing!

Let me make it clear I really don't have a problem with the A500, it's the A500c that I think is wrong. In your opinion, but I think Abarth are far from damaging the name.
To be honest the majority of negative comments I've really seen about the A500 are from you and a minority on here who have made it evidently clear they don't like it, this is not a problem but there never seems to be a compromise in discussion about it.
Well you are metroAfter reading 8 pages on this subject all I can say is--yes please--i'd love one with two tone paint. Mr lottery man are you listening???
And proud to be so![]()
Add a metal roof and I'll have onecould get it all colour coded, stick on some snow tyres an maxi will love it![]()

At the end of the day if you like it that's what matters but do just be warned that two tone paintjobs are almost never cool and the 500c is going to score very high on the naffometer when it comes out.
