What exactly is the little red light that appears on the dash on my N regd 1.4 sx Fiat Brava? The one with a symbol like a petrol hose spraying?
The manual talks about it being part of the engine management system, but what could it be an indicator of?
It comes on on my car sometimes, mostly after I have very little fuel left or I have fuelled up from a particular local garage. Occasionally when I am at low speeds, in town.
It came on when I was on the motorway today so I exited at the first junction I could, after 15 miles, stopped the car, then restarted to find the light had gone out, and it remained so for the duration of the trip.
Is it an indicator of a potential serious problem or a way of getting me into the garage for huge service costs? Could it be something as simple as plugs and leads?
