General Terrible mpg

If you have some form of diagnostic tool it may tell you if it needs or has recently done as Regen, depending on use if mostly higher dual carriageway speeds fully warmed up it may be OK for a long time. Town use is more of a problem.:(
Ye we’re in country is mostly a roads and motorway.

Grandpa driving doesn't mean efficient.

Just for comparison on van size, our vito at work has a 1.6 diesel, and gets 45+mpg on motorways. Horrendously gutless but good mpg. I'd say any modern small diesel should be able to get nearer 50mpg minimum. I get over 50mpg with a 2.0 diesel to and from work every day, not like for like, but bigger engine and cold start twice a day.

I'd be looking for things like sticky brakes, full service, tyre pressures, etc. Just make sure it''s all in good condition.

Thanks, doing oil change this week will check for smell of diesel. Maybe my vans just a gutless one. Not what I was hoping for when I bought it, at least that way they’re is nothing sinister going on, although I have suspicions due to other things going on with it.
In fairness I found, though both rated at 105hp from memory, my old Doblo 1.9 could "tear the ar*e of this one, it had loads more torque, though economy not so good. So though it is rated to carry 1 tonne, it doesn't feel like it.:(

Thanks gonna get a good service this week n take it from there 👍

I've a 2014 Citreon Nemo Enterprise 1.4 diesel (Fiorino) I probably get about 45 mpg, mainly urban driving around maybe 15 mile journeys at a time with the occasional motorway driving.

DPF rarely activates far as I know I've had the van since new it's done 56,000 miles.
