hello,
my temp gauge on my fiat bravo 100 SX TD does not seem to register much.
it does move a little but only to around the minimum mark then goes back down to off the gauge.
does anyone know what this could be before i start replacing part after part.
thanks :)

How's your heating then ? does it blow out proper hot inside ?

if not, then change thermostat.

hi james, yeah its hot inside but not super hot i suppose, will the thermostat also include a new sensor or is it a seperate sender that could be faulty

It will either be that your thermostat has gone, but even if you have heating, your thermostat could still have gone.

you need to check whether the thermostat gauge is permenantly open or not to see if it's the thermostat.

if not it is the temperature gauge (sensor)

:) x

Maybe a bit late..

..but I have the same problem and I'm sure it's just the thermostat. If I let it idle a while or if I'm stuck in traffic, it will get to normal running temperature and the heater will blow really hot air, not the "warm breath" it's giving me now.. I'm buying a new thermostat today

i have the same prob, normal driving heater is warm but not roastin and temp gauge only moved slightly.. where abouts it the thremostat on 20v hgt??

hi, i posted this originally, all i had changed was the temperature sender to the thermostat and all works fine.....hope this helps :)
