Technical "Sys Code Faulty"

Hi All

I used this Forum once a year or so ago and you were all very helpful so I'm really hoping someone can help me this time. The other day when I put the key in to start the car, I waited for the diesel coil light to go off then it beeped and said "sys code faulty" and the car would not start. I took the key out, put it back in and it started and so I forgot about it.

Same thing happened today. Had to take the key out and try again a couple of times before the message didn't come up. I can't find anything in the handbook or when I search on the internet. Does anyone know what this means and what I need to have done? I am worried that one day it might not start after a few tries!

Just wondering if you had any joy with your problem as we are getting exactley the same one. Did if get worse, or did you find out what was wrong? Many thanks Maria

this problem sometimes occurs when the battery is low on charge, it usally flashes then when you wait a few seconds starts fine, i would keep an eye on it but not worry too much at the moment unless it worsens
