It's a pickle to get the seats to work as I spent too many hours tinkering around and found that you have to connect one of the two can lines from the seats to the body computer for them to work, my car is a 1.8 dynamic and the memory seats and mirrors work perfect with no need to change any parts, it caused problems at first but just read the manual

Even if you find for some reason your mirrors don't work, remember I have my donor car bits for sale

Yes I did but might I add finding a factory 1.8 with leather is very rare indeed I was lucky the car was cheap so all I took was the seats and door cards, I have seen a few knackered hatchback abarths up for grabs at £650 with leather, clocks cn+ etc, that's the cheapest thing to do, strip what you need, sell the rest and scrap the car shell, you will make you money back and be a happy bunny.

there are a few on ebay, but above 1k.....thats kinda the most im willing to spend on buying a stilo with the right stuff, swapping it over and selling it on....if you see any others reckon you could shoot me a PM?

not a problem it looks like you have the same aim as me....a fully loaded 1.8 3dr

im kinda hoping the abarth the guy is getting for me tomorrow has elec/heated seats...then i can just take the whole lot....but i havnt seen many abarths with it....they mainly have the sexy 2-tone leather, but no electric seats!

i didn't mean what i said lol, what i meant was, the abarths that i find with leathers, tend to have the sexy 2-tone manual seats (when there anything except normal cloth) and rarely have elec/heated ones....

Ahhh yes true true but remember re-wiring electric seats is a nightmare time wise.

Did you only need to connect one of the CAN lines?

If so, which one (Black/Pink or White/Pink) and where did you actually make the connection?

somewhere in the off topic posts we made in the other thread, he said he had to connect both CAN lines and it worked including the mirrors!

In relation to "both can lines" I meant one can line from each of the seats instead of both and the pink/White can lines were needed to be connected and these were connected to the fuse box under the steering wheel off the right connector of the three that are there and it's the only pink/White cable there.
The manual as in the Stilo handbook that guides you on how to adjust the mirrors and the seats and then program those position into the seat memory otherwise what happens is the mirrors automatically point upwards everytime you turn the car off and the motor within the mirror constantly keeps trying to move and most probably burn out as I nearly found out.

I am having issues with the heated seats wiring location, as i can not find the black/green & light Blue/Yellow wires in the front fuse box, would you be able to help me locate them?

I don't think Black/Green or Blue/Yellow wires are anything to do with the seats.

What does the relay with the two wires beneath it do?

If you mean the large 50 Amp black relay in the rear fuse box, it's the master power supply relay for the electric seats and the seat heaters. When the ignition is switched on, it supplies power to fuses F56 and F60 (30 Amp green) for the seats and fuses F57 and F67 (10 Amp red) for the seat heaters.

Have you connected all four of the power supply wires from their correct fuses to the correct seat connectors pins?

Do you have power to all four of these wires at the seat connectors when the ignition is switched on.

I'm confused because the 10amp fuses provide power to grey on one seat and grey/black on the other, I think maybe the pink/black CAN lines may need to be connected as with the electric seats the can lines forced then to work, but then I think what the heck is the relay there for? As I read on épér that the relay powers the electric seats, I'm trying to fiddle at the moment but with no luck

The 10 Amp fuses provide power to the seat heaters, not the seats.

This is only a guess, but the only reason I can think of that you may need to connect the second CAN line, is if it provides a temperature signal to the seat heaters to only allow them to be switched on when the outside air temperature is low.

We'll I connected the second can line and negative but with no joy, the only thing left is the relay and those two wires that Come from there grrr
